Metamistics

Spazio 996/A

The project is implemented as a two-dimensional system of art objects aimed at creating a redefinable artistic space in the form of a mosaic of cultural and civilizational meanings, touching upon the idea of metanarrative, and as a result, an artistic and cognitive journey through signs and meanings. On the one hand, the objects (cubes) are created as actual works of art, so they exist realistically as exhibition and collection objects. Their emanation turned into virtual files makes it possible to provide users of the online platform with the possibility of their own art creations based on the objects so deposited. The creation of the Internet platform here is the next step in the development of Jacek Kornacki's authorial project BIBLIOTEKA, enriched with not only the possibility of interacting with the elements of the system in a virtual environment, that is, so to speak, replacing the medium of the art gallery space with a computer, but supplemented with systems of meanings that create cultural, educational and research tools.

Puzzling Classics

Spazio 996/A

Thousands of photographic tiles depicting geometric, phytomorphic, and zoomorphic motifs from the mosaic floor of the Basilica of San Marco, which the artist had been creating since 2015, are assembled in the new project Puzzling Classics. Andrea Morucchio, who moves ably between the languages of sculpture, installation, video, photography and digital art, rearranges and repositions these ’tiles’ in mosaic form, creating fascinating reinterpretations of Renaissance Master paintings.
