Spazio 996/A

Spazio 996/A is an independent exhibition space of Associazione Culturale Exhibition Care in Venice, operated by Exhibition Care and available for short-term exhibition hire. The space is suitable for exhibitions presented during the Venice Biennale period as well as for projects presented throughout the year.

Located in the Castello district, within walking distance of multiple Biennale venues, Spazio 996/A offers a compact and flexible setting for small exhibitions, installations, presentations, and research-based projects.

The approximately 50 m² exhibition space combines historic Venetian architectural elements with a simple, contemporary layout. Its scale and proportions allow for a range of exhibition approaches, from traditional wall-based displays to site-specific installations. The space is particularly suited to projects requiring a focused visitor experience and controlled circulation.

Song E Yoon: Features large-scale drawings and immersive installations inspired by petroglyphs, mythological symbols, and star charts, representing a "language of journey".
Frédéric Bruly Bouabré: Showcases cards from the Ivorian artist (1923–2014) who famously created the Bété alphabet in the 1960s to preserve cultural memory, serving as a "language of recording".
Theme: The pairing explores 10,000 years of human history, questioning how humans seek direction and meaning over time.

Titled (Fr)Agile Systems, the Pavilion of Pakistan is not only a reminder of the stark inequity of a crisis that continues to weigh down hardest on regions that have historically had the least to do with causing it, but also a reiteration of the imperative to rethink climate resilience as an adaptation process atuned to the asymmetries and imbalances of an interconnected world.

Through the diverse lenses of twelve contemporary artists, the showcase challenges viewers to slow down, dismantle the noise of modern life, and reconnect with the quiet lyricism of daily rituals. A multimedia exploration of intimacy, nostalgia, and the subtle beauty found within life's smallest intervals. Twelve distinct contemporary voices utilizing illustration, painting, and mixed media to capture fleeting emotional landscapes. The exhibition extends into a living cultural program, featuring curated cinema screenings and immersive, hands-on workshops designed for cross-generational engagement.

Metamistic is an interdisciplinary art project and exhibition series by artists Jacek Kornacki and Maciej Śmietański that explores the convergence of art, philosophy, and technology, including exhibitions in Venice, Italy. The project, which premiered in September 2024, features video installations and installations that explore themes of transformation, materiality, and personal identity.

The Puzzling Classics Show showcasing the digital artworks of Venetian artist Andrea Morucchio open to public during the first two months of the 60.Venice Biennale. The exhibition provides a captivating glimpse into Morucchio’s “Puzzling” project initiated in 2015 when, during the 56th Venice Biennale, the artist presented the multimedia installation The Rape of Venice at the Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo. A distinctive element of the installation was thousands of photographic tiles, casually arranged to deconstruct the geometric, phytomorphic, and zoomorphic patterns of the floor mosaic of St. Mark’s Basilica.
